Inside out

Hello! My name is Terry Graziano, and I am a designer, an artist and a writer.

In my previous life, I was an award-winning costumer and hat designer.  Feeling creatively restless and ready for new challenges, I closed my hat business in January 2020 after almost 30 years of designing and personally handcrafting my eponymous line.

Born and raised in New Jersey, I spent many years living and working in Philadelphia, New York and Chicago, before moving to New Mexico in 2014. The transition from city life to rural life was a difficult one for me, and it took some time to fully downshift my internal rhythms. Once I did, I was able to adjust my creative eye to a new kind of beauty, and expand my inner world as the outer distractions receded.  During this period, I also began to explore many different physical, emotional and spiritual healing modalities to support me in my new reality.  As I did so, my creative practice naturally began to evolve from focusing on outside transformation, to internal transmutation, while exploring new ways to express myself and connect more deeply to others.  This blog is a record and offering of my experiences, experiments and results.

The past few years have taught me to be ever more grateful for the incredible light, the space, the fresh air, and the kind and caring multicultural community that surrounds me in Northern New Mexico.  I am a liberal progressive thinker, spiritual seeker, enthusiastic hiker, novice yogini and meditator, eat a plant-based diet, and am committed to living a compassionate, adventurous and creative life.
